Marie Bejarano supports development and implementation of an evolving set of strategic initiatives for the School of Government and Policy, including strategic planning, communications, programming, and development.
Before joining Johns Hopkins University in March 2025, Marie worked for eleven years at the University of Chicago, where she managed communications, internal databases, executive leadership support, and internal grant mechanisms for the UChicago Global initiative and was the primary administrator for the Center for the Economics of Human Development. In a past life, Marie taught English as a Second Language to adult learners at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL.
Marie holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Brigham Young University.
